Nikki, 2012

I love how different Nikki's coat looks in different lighting. Sometimes he looks pale blonde. Sometimes he looks ginger-colored. He has red roots and some wispy black hairs sparsely scattered in his ruff. He was tan with black guard hairs as a puppy, but he's stayed the same color since he was a year old. His chin used to be black but it turned gray when he was about five years old. His ears were dark brown but they've lightened a lot in recent years. He used to shed his ear hair on his own and get it down to velvety fuzz but he stopped shedding them out a couple of years ago. I learning how to strip them.
