    • Ingredients

      1 cup natural applesauce

      1 tbsp ground cinnamon

      1 tsp ground ginger

      1/2 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil

      3 cups all purpose flour

      2 cups wheat flour

      1/2 cup milk

      2 large eggs

      Procedure

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine applesauce, cinnamon, ginger, eggs. Add oil and flours slowly in order not to make a huge mess. (I mix these on my Kitchenaid.) Add milk. Now I put a little flour on rolling pin in order not to stick to treat mix. Parchment paper on cookie pan. In order to get 250 (like I do), I use a 1 1/2 inch square...you use what ever you like. I roll clumps or hand fulls at a time, rolling to about 1/8 of an inch...not to make to thin or to thick.

Bake 20-25 minutes, till browned. I really just look to see if it is the firmness I need. After dividing up into 50 treat per bag, I freeze 4 bags and put one bag into the fridge. When I need to serve...just micro for a few seconds (I do 3 so I go 10 seconds), then you can break apart or leave whole (for the afternoon treat I don't heat just serve...works just as well). When I do heat them...seems like they are getting a Poptart.

Any questions...just message me. Hope yours enjoy as much as mine have!!

      Notes, Options, Substitutions

Some will rise, most won't. If you feel it is to dry add a little water or milk. It leaves our pups with the best smelling breath. I love cinnamon, and the ginger is not bad either.
