Turns out he CAN'T walk on water!

My daughter and I were walking our 15 wk old Cairn, Eddie, and our retriever down to the river when Rowdy found a nice deep pool to go and soak in. Eddie decided to follow her and got an unexpected soaking!

My daughter went into hysterics laughing! In between gasping out "little chicken legs...." and other comments on the situation, she blurted out "He looks like a loaf of bread on 4 pencils!"

I tried to assure him he has beach legs....... :innocent:

your daughter is hilarious! She totally captured the ridiculousness of a wet Cairn. "a loaf of bread on 4 pencils"

I cannot wait to crack my fiance up with that next time Oscar gets soaked through...

Thanks for the giggle :)

sheila and Misty

I must admit it made me laugh out loud! (giggle) I always call Misty Turkey thighs and Toby pork chop legs but actually right below the chops are the pencils-OMG too funny and I can surely picture a loaf of my grandmas Itaian homemade bread. Even a nice hefty meatloaf for that matter.

One of Louies nicknames is "PuppyLoaf" ;) I used to hold his head and tail under my arms just so his body was visible and it looks just like a loaf of bread, since Louie is wheaten. My sisters will call and say "awww we miss PuppyWoaf!" So loaf of bread on pencils is very right on.

I love the name Rowdy. What a funny story! They are very strange looking when wet. A couple of good Cairn shakes and they dry pretty darn fast.
