OzGirl
Sometimes when cooking (or rather burning ) we set off the smoke alarms in the house. Roxy will walk around tilting her head looking at the floor for the sound. I think because we have all tiles in the living area it must bounce off the floor. When it has stopped Roxy will walk all around the room really, really slowly, placing her feet ever so gently on the floor looking for the sound. She will keep doing this until we distract her, I'm not sure why she reacts this way but it it is funny to watch. Do any of your dogs react this way? jodi0553
I *wish* my dog reacted like that to the smoke alarm! Currey goes insane, barking, jumping and howling. Then when I grab a towel to fan at the detector, he starts to jump at my leg trying to get the towel and kill it! It is quite an adventure! Holly_go_lighlty
Luckily we have never had to deal with smoke alarms, but in this house, ALL dish towels must be killed...
BetsyNoodle
Haven't set off the smoke alarm...but when we use any type of deodorizing room spray, Murphy walks in slow motion all around the room, carefully sniffing the tile like a doggie Sherlock Holmes. It is hilarious to watch.
sheila and Misty
Misty gets frantic if I dont show her that Im blowing a candle out- If shes outside and walks in smelling smoke she runs frantically room to room sniffing the air . Its a good thing I like that she will clue us in to a potential danger. If I show her the candle -she calms down and acts normal-but she wont be happy untill I say its ok. Toby could care less.
