Posted April 28, 200916 yr We drove up to Victoria Island (BC Canada) last weekend and the hotel was not only dog friendly (provided balls and chuck-its, poo bags, treats, beds, etc.), they had a nice stretch of beach that they could play on. Here are a few fun pics. Shelley, Angus and Mickey in Seattle
April 29, 200916 yr Fudgie is jealous of the freedom on the beach, and I am jealous of you being able to go to Victoria! I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago and we got to stop for one evening in Victoria. After seeing it, I wished that more time would have been allowed there. It is such a beautiful place! I was amazed that I did not see any trash on the roadways. Very clean and pretty. I did get to go to Butchart Gardens and do the evening tour. You and your cairns are so lucky. They seem to be screaming "Hot Diggety Dogs!"
April 29, 200916 yr My three would've been in heaven! Glad yours got the fun time. Tara, Mom of three somewhat constrained Cairns Max and Nelly

April 29, 200916 yr Yes! I'd love to know the name of the hotel as well. We are wanting to go up to Whidbey Island. While up that way might as well go up to Vancouver!
April 29, 200916 yr Author It's the Wickaninnish Inn. www.wickinn.com I highly recommend it. It's in Tofino, on the far Western tip of Vancouver Island - basically the edge of civilization. Not easy to get to, but well worth the trouble. It's an upscale hotel with beautiful views and they are absolutely wonderful about pets. They sent a reservation confirmation to the boys too. "Dear Angus and Mickey - we are looking forward to your visit with your humans..." Not only did we get the gift baskets with goodies I described, they had their own doggie towels and an area with a hand spray to wash the sand off the paws after the beach. Not that they liked being hosed off, mind you! Here's another couple of photos. Edited April 29, 200916 yr by shellj2323 Shelley, Angus and Mickey in Seattle
