Holly and myself have just been staying with my sister and her husband for few days who live on edge of Hampshire/Surry, England. So got opportunity to meet Stacy/Cairnmania and Rudi and Abby. We had a lovely hour together - and the dogs got chance to have a good sniff at each other and a walk together together!

This was the best of the photos I took - they would not keep still!

It was good to be able to put a face to someone else who posts on this Forum!

Looks like a lovely time....Meetups are always fun... :party:

A few weekends ago I was running the dogs on he beach...When I was approached by a lovely woman who asked if they were Cairns (The dogs were a bit further up the beach then me). And then explained that she had Cairns too and was visiting from back east (I am in California and she lived on the East Coast)...as we talked we discovered that we both are members here. LOL

We live in a small world.

Raise your expectations for what your Cairn can do....and try very hard to meet your Cairn's expectations of you.

What a great post...

I've wanted to go to England since I was a little girl....Your post touched a soft spot in my heart. Someday, someday, someday and hopefully to meet other members of this forum.

Forgot to say that this was first time I had taken Holly away - and she she was so GOOD! behaved perfectly everywhere we went. Travelled in my car a total of 400 miles, and in nieces and sisters without problem. Had lots of interesting walks.

After our "Cairn get together" we went for a pub lunch as it was such a lovely day and Holly was tethered to my chair in outdoor area under big umbrella and she just went to sleep whilst people walked past her and we had lunch!

I was just so happy the opportunity to meet Stacy and her Cairns was there whilst I was away!

I love these stories too!! It was so much fun to meet Dusty and Chris (SARpartner) And become team members together! Cairns rule!

I LOVE MY CAIRNS PUDDLES AND IRIS!

It really was a lot of fun! Rudi and Abby were delighted to have a "guest Cairn", and owner, of course. Rudi in particular loved all the extra attention. Although I think Abby now is a little bit jealous of Holly's glamorous harness :lol:

How lucky! They look like they get along. I'd love to have a get together with other Cairns and their owners. Sparky has yet to meet a Cairn!
