kintra
Hi all, my name is Riley and I've owned Cairns for the past five years (although it seems like my entire life). I am currently a college student. I live in the Midwest and bought my first Cairn puppy (Ch. Paragon's Stately Affair CD RN CGC "Zach") when I was in 8th grade from a breeder who lives near to me. I handled him to his Ch. myself and 'got the bug'. I started showing in Junior Showmanship around the same time and had many successes in the short 3 years I competed, mainly being ranked the #2 Junior Handler nationwide for a majority of 2007 and the #1 Cairn Terrier Junior for the 3 years I competed in Juniors. I specialed two different Cairns during this time, Ch. Paragon's Well Chosen "Watson", and my Zach and was blessed to have many nice wins with both of them. After aging out of Juniors/retiring Zach as a special, I started to do some obedience training and we completed his CD and RN last summer before I left for college. I'm hoping to work on his CDX and RA this summer, as well as trying to start in Earthdog. Now that I am in school (the college is only a short distance from my hometown), I still am able to help handle Cairns for my breeder from time to time so I'm not completely out of it. I also have a Miniature Pinscher since that was my breed before Cairns. Kintra Cairns Home of Multi-Group Winning Ch. bradl
Is there a special place to post pictures or should I do it here? Welcome back, Riley. You can post pictures anywhere it feels appropriate, but a good place to introduce your dogs and such is in the Member Gallery - just start a topic named "kintra" and post away. You can use it as a sort of album and it provides more photos than one can put in a signature or profile. CAIRNTALK: Questions? BetsyNoodle
Would love to see the pictures, Riley. My first pup as an adult was a gorgeous little Miniature Pinscher, Ralphie, and his adopted sister was a Cairn mix rescue I named Betsy Noodle. She had the most charming yodel. They both passed away last year at the age of 17 and 16, respectively. Last December we just missed out on a little show prospect Cairn puppy from the D.C. area. Since it is difficult to find puppies in Texas, we decided to look at a rescue organization in the Houston area and found our beautiful brindle, Murphy. He is a little doll. Welcome back!
