SparkyJonesMom
I just finished watching the mockumentary film called "Best in Show." I don't know if anyone has heard of it, but it's a comedy that pokes fun at the world of dog shows, and it's really funny. There isn't a Cairn in it, but one of the main dogs is a Norwich Terrier, so there is still plenty of terrier cuteness to see. There was one scene where the owners of the terrier sang a song they wrote, and it's just great! I'm sure everyone here will love it. Here's the lyrics (I replaced Norwich with Cairn): "God loves a terrier yes he does God loves a terrier that's because small sturdy bright and true they give their love to you God didn't miss a stitch be it dog or be it bitch when he made the Cairn merrier with his cute little 'derrier' yes God loves a terrier!" And if you want to watch the scene and hear the tune of the song, here's a link to the video clip: Sparky Jones & Scout Jones
tlwtheq
That movie, that song, and the small group of actrons that make these mockumentaries have long been among my favorites. Same group produced: This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration. Keep in mind that Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer have actually played and sung the music in all of these...even though they're classified as comedians. The whole group including Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy and other recognizable actors involved with these projects are all incredible talents. Enjoy! Sandi16
One of my FAVORITE movies. I love when Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy (real life husband and wife!) are arguing with the front desk about their credit card. "I only got ONE notice.. just ONE notice" Then they call "They said they sent two" So they sleep in a broom closet. Those whole line of movies are great. They're mostly ad libbed with very loose scripts to allow the actors to really do what they do best!! Hmm now I want to see it. Maybe I need to go and rent it. shellj2323
Big fan of all those movies here too! One of the highlights of Best in Show was that song! Thanks for the lyrics. Shelley, Angus and Mickey in Seattle
