Puddlesmama
Well guys. I did it again. I have been fostering for a local shelter for a few months and have taken in a baby pit bull, found him a home..A newfie mix baby..found him a home.. Well..they called me today..I was taking a month break from fostering because 2 babies within the last month was hard work. This little guys time is up.. I clicked on the picture and looky what i see His name is Beacon. He is an adult but not sure on age. Couldnt help it. I am picking him up friday to stay with us for awhile. He was dumped at the shelter with a note attached. Saying my Daddy died and noone can take care of me and thats it. This is a high kill county shelter where they are packed full and dogs usually get no more than 7 days. Today was day 7 for him. He will be with me until he is found a exceptional, perfect home. lacy
What a sweet little face...the poor baby. Only seven days! That is so sad. Do your dogs get along well with the foster pups generally? I would love to be able to have foster pups, but I am not sure if I could do it....Beacon is a lucky little guy

Puddlesmama
I know Chris..I cant contain my excitement. You know you would be the first to see this chap. Out of all the fosters..By golly I think he is the cutest one. I never know what I am up to either, I cant keep up with myself sometimes. haha! Lish..They are calling him a Terrier mix. Lacy... Ever since I started fostering I have had no problems whatsoever. The girls are real love bugs and Dozer is a great big brother. I just make sure to introduce my pack to the new one on neutral territory. And just keep an eye on things and watch them progress. Only time I had a problem was a guy I had brought in that was recovering from surgery.. He wasnt a happy camper with the other dogs for a week or so.. But once he was better..He decided to love everyone. PK..thats what I was thinking also.. I cant wait to meet him. He comes home Friday Oscarsmom.. I have plenty to give. I cant wait to take pictures of him smiling. I LOVE MY CAIRNS PUDDLES AND IRIS!

josie&holly
aah, he looks so lovely - I think he needs a home where he will get lots of cuddles - and I am sure he will get them from you even if only temporary. But with such a cute face I do not think anyone could resist him! Good luck with him! www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk
Shazza
Oh, how adorable! I don't think I could ever be a foster parent, I would never want to give them up! I've thought about volunteering at our local shelter but I'm afraid I would end up taking WAY too many home with me..lol Can't wait to see pictures after you get him home and throw some love and hugs on him Beacon? Unusual name, but when I read it, I thought of "beacon of light", which must be what made him stand out to you! Miya Max

Puddlesmama
That is the only one sent to me unfortunatly. But he comes tommorrow and I will be sure to have pictures here ASAP. I heard from the vet that did his neuter this morning. He said that he requested for Beacon to stay at the hospital tonight and gave him his own blankie. His neuter went well and as vet was speaking to me I heard him make a bark whine like Puddles does. Im thinking he is a talker.. It will be late evening tommorrow but will be sure to bring pics.
