Sparky's busy weekend...

This weekend Sparky and I visited my hometown, and it was pretty eventful. My oldest brother and his wife got a Great Dane puppy for their kids, so Spark got to check her out. Bella (that's her name) is already 3 times his size, and she's only 13 weeks old! After Sparky barked his fool head off and had me worried that he was going to really attack her, he realized that this giant creature was just a dog, and what better thing to do to a dog? He humped:

On a side note, let me say that Bella the Great Dane was just a big clumsy loot, which made her one of the sweetest puppies I've ever met. I fell in love.

Anyway, while we were in town we also saw some snow flurries! This is the first snow I've seen this winter (it doesn't happen very often), and Sparky had never seen it before. I took him outside and held him up, and for about 10 minutes he had his nose in the air just sniffing as much as he could. Then he tried to catch some snowflakes with his mouth. If you look closely in this picture, you can see some flurries:

After being in the cold, it was time to go inside where my Dad was preparing hush puppies for the fish fry we were having. Sparky, of course, had to beg for something:

And I know this is a couple weeks old, but Sparky gave me a Valentine's Day card:

One final thing. I was baking a strawberry cake for Valentine's Day, and when I took one of the cakes out of the round pan, some of it got stuck in the middle and stayed on the pan. Am I crazy, or does it look like a Cairn? See, the head is on the left, and the tail is on the right....Does anyone else see it? I thought it was fun:

All the photos are great. Sparky is so cute! Great Danes do get big but they are beauties. Love the Valentines day card. The cake you can see cairn in it.

I've just come in from plowing the driveway - kinda refreshing to think there are souls out there who rejoice in seeing snow. We're reaching the stage where I'm ready to sob when I hear the forecasts! Spring has GOT to come soon!

Haha, they DO have matching collars! It was unintentional. Bella's is just a tad bit bigger.
