Wendy Richards the actress in "Eastenders" and years ago "Are you being served" died of cancer. She had a Cairn Terrier who went with her everywhere including her wedding last year. She also supported the Cairn Terrier Rescue in this country as its Patron.

That's very sad. It surely seems Cairns were a treasured part of her life. I remember that bittersweet story of her wedding. (post)

Very sad indeed. Although I never watched Eastenders Wendy was a very familiar "face" to me. . A special lady and the world of Cairns has lost one of their own.
