Ever wondered how a Cairn Terrier does after obedience training?

Vintage (and hillarious) clip:

I wouldlove to watch that clip now but.....................

Holly goes bananas every time there is dog noises from computer or TV!! she is so funny :D

I turn down to mute but she still hears something, and starts barking and dashing round like mad, looks behind TV, under kitchen table [where the laptop is on], behind sofa, in the washing machine etc! it is so funny but not a good idea in evening when my neighbours are in! I need a video camera to record how she behaves

Will try again in morning and they should be at work. My mum used to love watching "I love Lucy" when it was shown over here.

The neighbours think I have ever such a quiet dog, and she 99% of time................. it is just that she wants to find that darn dog she can hear!

"Are you sure they didn't give him that diploma just to get rid of him?"

Thanks, Greg! We used to watch that show growing up all the time.

I can honestly say though that I didn't realize about the

existence of Fred until today.

How Cairn of him!

  • 7 years later...

just saw this episode (or saw it again, not sure). fred was a beautiful dog, and the episode is very cairny --he is the star of obedience class but won't perform a single command at home (and tears up ricky's slippers, the garden, and who knows what else). lovely, lovely dog, named "danny". the series featured him as a puppy and and as an adult. from a trivia page: "Danny was owned by Frank Inn and trained by Bob Blair. This is the same dog that played 'Fremont', Mr. Wilson's dog on "Dennis the Menace".  so you can actually watch this dog's whole life in old comedies.

wonderful! i realize the cairns are probably incidental bit players in these films, but the first 6 titles summarize cairn life:

Ready For Love , Bright Eyes, Dark Angel, Fury, Double Or Nothing and The Buccaneer

I can't see it.  ☹️  An error message comes up that says it's been removed due to copyright violations with CBS.
