boats85
Well I did it I finally retired last week, a week ago today now it is me and Skipper 24/7. I can't tell if Skipper's keen to the idea, he doesn't get his power nap when I was working, so both of our routines will have to change. One thing he did do which he has never done before, Skipper came over and peed on my bare foot, and this during time frame I woulda been at work. That was the first and hopefully the only time. Most of the time he just follows me around and stays close, I think he is beggining to think his name is MOVE I have Skipper registered for Pet Therapy training to begin first Tuesday in March, my aquantainces thinks he will do very well. I will soon find out. Boats and Skipper (MOVE)
josie&holly
Holly likes to stick with me in the house - where I am - you will find a little cute dog almost attached to one of my feet! One of these days I will step on her............ You will find that retirement is wonderful - don't worry about routine - take each day as it comes! Skipper will enjoy having your company. www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk
Jessica H
Well congrats on the retirement! I am sure Skipper will love having you around all the time once he gets used to it. Scooter has peed on me and there wasn't any change. He was just being a jerk, lol. I would love to do Pet Therapy but I do not have the time. I may work on it with Dozer (my Shepherd) because he is so calm, laid back and never gets over excited like my Cairns... jimnconnie
Hey Boats, congratulations on your retirement! The retirement years are the BEST years!! I was already retired when we got Bailey, and then Sophie, so they are used to me being in their house. My DW still works so I needed some company, and luckily we chose a Cairn. I don't really have a lot of hobbies, so these 2 furballs keep me out of trouble (most of the time!). Therapy work will be great for you & Skipper, I think he's a natural since he's done so well in obedience & CGC training. People just naturally fall in love with these little love-bugs, so Skipper will bring a lot of happiness to the people he sees. This will give us lots more "Skipper adventures" to enjoy in the months ahead. Good luck to both of you, and have fun!
