Just want to say hello & introduce myself.

I am new to this forum - I have a wonderful red wheaton Cairn , that I adore . He is a 15 months old.

He is the perfect dog breed for me , having loyality, some independence, & cheekyness all mixed together.

He is definitely full of character. Follows me around...

His favorite thing in the winter is digging in the fresh snow until all you see is his bum & tail wagging . He also howls when he is happy.....is this a Cairn thing?

Husband says he also looks like me ! Ha!

Hi Harry and welcome I know what you mean about looking like your dog. Most mornings I don't know who has worse bed head, me or the dogs..lol. I laugh at them til I look in the mirror.

Hi and welcome! Why exactly do people and their dogs start to resemble each other? I have always wondered that! Ha, ha. I think you will find this site somewhat addicting! I log on every day or two since I got my cairn a couple months ago. It seems cairn owners love their dogs and love to hear about other's cairns too. I too, hope you enjoy the site!

Welcome Harry's mum. This is a great site for gaining health and behavioural info on Cairns, but it's the Cairn stories and photos which are a real treat.

My 4 yo Cairn, Fergus, used to howl when he got a new chewy so I think it is a sign of happiness in them. Fergus is a red brindle and as I have highlights put in my hair, I tell people we go to the same hairdresser
