I am wondering if any of the thousand readers here live near Canton, Ohio? If so, I would love to send messages with you through the messaging service provided. I think I am the only person near my city that owns a Cairn Terrier. Seriously! I NEVER see other Cairns...ever! I would love to meet someone that has a baby similar to mine!

I hear you! My vet said they never had hands on experience with cairns untill mine and they have been around for at least 50 years or longer. My two now and the previous one really makes them work for the bills they charge us-they said it only takes 2 to hold down a shepard and 5 to hold down a cairn . They wer in shock how stong these little buggers are!

I live south of Dayton, Ohio (about 45 mins from Cincinnati) and I have seen very few cairn terriers. one of workers at humane society has a wheaten cairn terrier ...which she lets roam around the whole place, these people that live a couple streets down from my parents house has one, there's one other member on this forum that lives in my area that has one. I am also the only one at my vet with cairn terriers

Sorry can't help, but would just like to say in my small town here in NZ, there are 5 Cairns that I know of so they must be a popular breed here.

Veni, vidi, velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around

If it makes you feel any better, I live in Philadelphia and Scully is my second Cairn. I had my Ginger for 14 years. I've only seen one other Cairn several years ago - just once - and in all my years at the vets have never seen one either.

I live in Hilliard Ohio (near Columbus). I travel with my dog sometimes to Rittman, Ohio.......that is near Canton, isn't it? I also travel to Cambridge, Ohio. Actually I got my dog in Dover Ohio at a breeder. Actually, I never see Cairns either, they are rare around these parts also!!!
