Extra cute days?

I asked a similar question quite awhile back and we had some fun with it. We have a lot of new members, so here goes again.

We all know that Cairns rank pretty high on the "Cute" scale. In fact I think Cairns are one of the few breeds where the adult dogs are as cute or even cuter than the puppies.

Does your Cairn have days when he/she is just EXTRA cute? I'm not refering to things like morning "bed head" or regular cute things they do. It's just a little extra "something".

Every week or so, Renny has a day when there is just an almost undefineable something that makes him just extra cute. I can't put my finger on it, but it may be just an extra little sparkle in his eyes, or maybe his ears are at a little different angle than usual. Sometimes I think I see an almost invisible bit of a "Mona Lisa" like smile on his face.

I can't really explain it, but it's there. Anyone else notice this in your Cairns?

Cricket's incredible cuteness gets her off the hook for some of her not so cute habits, one of which is barking every morning at 6:45 am at the top of her lungs at Maggie(a black lab) and her family when they walk by on their morning walk.

She lays on the back of the couch while my husband watches TV in the evening and stares at him with the most sweet expression and bats her long eyelashes at him...he always reaches over and gives her a pat and says "all that barky stuff you do...all is forgiven"..

Sometimes but not always when Louie trots to me, his ears waggle and it melts my heart. It's like he's holding his ears more relaxed but still pricked. So when he trots around the tips are a little floppy. I don't know what mood he is in to have his ears in that particular fashion, but I just love it.

Also, sometimes he'll do the pose that I call "I REALLLY NEEEED YOU" He stands up on his hind legs, and stretches up on my legs in this begging posture for me to pick him up. He spreads his fat little paws at me. I'm a sucker for the paws. I think cairns have the cutest paws!

To me Mistys extra cute when she intently stares at you and tilts her head back and forth trying to understand what your saying -then she actually tries to talk-which sometimes comes out similar to cat meows. and wa wa

Tobys cuteness is when hes begging Misty for something she has and he wants -lying on his back looking out of the corner of his eyes at her and poking her gently with his paw and lowly whining for it.

Holly's extra cute time is 7am in the morning. She sleeps in her bed on floor by my bed [hemmed in by my large suitcase and laundry basket!]. At precisely 7am each morning I can hear her shaking herself, then she puts two cute paws on the bed and peers over the top so if I turn over I just see her lovely face with her big dark eyes gazing at me, and then a big pink tongue comes out and tries to reach me!

I lean over and rub her back and her tail goes into overdrive!!

She looks so sweet.

I do not know how she knows what time it is and that is part of the extra cuteness! Though some mornings I would like to sleep on, I find myself getting up and so once I am up and I go into bathroom - Holly curls back up again in her bed, and dozes until I move laundry basket and she can join me! Having got me out of bed, she can rest - so cheeky! :)

I've only had Gus for a week now so lots of things he does are cute to me. However, it just cracks me up when he walks up to me, gives me that inquisitive look and has a piece of "fuzz" stuck to his chin hair. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it.

Desta just gets cuter and cuter. She seemed a little sad and withdrawn when I got her in June. It seemed she was way too mature for a 3 year old and acted more like a senior dog. I'm sure having 4 litters of pups in 3 years and living mostly alone outside took some toll on her.

The longer she's here, the more frequently she has "spells" of liveliness, happiness and general spunk. She's playing with the Corgi a lot more lately, runs more, wags her tail more, and shows me her mischievious sparkly eyes quite a bit more. Of course her coat is also in much healthier condition, so she is physically cuter too.

It seems like I used to pet and console her quite a bit, "Oh, I know. It's a tough old life isn't it? Everything is ok." when she seemed sad or just plain tired a lot. Lately I hear myself saying much more frequently "Oh, you are just too cute, happy girl! Too cute Miss Desta!"

Napi's extra cute moments are when we are getting him ready to go for a walk in the mornings wearing his sweater, and of course if i want to sleep in he keeps coming in the room like saying"come on mom is time to go fo a walk, and he won't go only wih my DH I have to come too!!

I pretty much melt every time Sparky yawns, especially when he makes a little sound to go along with it. And every day at some point when I'm on the couch, on my laptop, he constantly tries to nip at my right hand, making it impossible for me to do anything other than pay attention to him. Then he'll put both paws on my arm, and just kind of pad at them and do a little growl at the same time. It's annoying, but it's so cute that most of the time I can't stop laughing at him.

Puddles and Iris are extra cute when I make them come inside when it is raining...they love the rain and hate to have to leave it. When i bring them in..they go to thier bed and pout. And I just love it.

Gidget's at her most incredible cutest when she sits, ears perked just so, amazing eyes speaking right to my heart, her little button nose twitching...while all around her remains the evidence of her latest episode of mayhem and destruction. "Who, me?"

When I was ironing this afternoon, Paco stole one of my husbands handkerchiefs and tore it into a thousand pieces.

When I discovered him he was in the middle of all that mess and looked at me as if saying "didn
