It dawned on me today why our dogs don't do well when we call them. I was thinking of all the nics we call them throughout the day and heres what I came up with...

Cooper AKA... Coop, Coop Coop, Coopy, Bud, Buddy, Fuzzy face, Coopster, Barker boy, Coopy doopy

Jezebelle AKA...Jezzy, Jez, JezYbelle, Cubby(alot of comments that she looks like a baby bear), Chub Chub, Food mongler, Jezzer

These are just the ones I can think of at the time. I'm sure we use more so I can't really get upset at them anymore if they just sit there and look at me when I call them. Anyone else have this problem?

Sophie, AKA Soph, Sopher, Sophanoodle, Sophinator, Fuzz-butt, Silly Girl, Pretty Girl...

Holly - Hollypop, Hollybush, prickles[when she is being pushy!], Holhol, lollypop, DollyHolly, Greedyguts, and various others according to what she has done!

And I have only had her 7 weeks! and she is an adult.................

Oscar: Car-car, Honey, Mr. Wilde, Silly Willy, Smarty Pants...

and there are some names I call him in Portuguese which are:

Fofinho (foe-fee-gno) - Snuggly

Cara Preta (kah-rah pray-tah) - Black Faced

Bunda Mole (Boondah Mah-lay) - Wiggly Butt

Jabuticaba (Jah-boo-chi-cah-bah) - it's a round black berry from Brazil which looks like his eyes

I'm sure there are more...

But he knows when to come to me because that's just "Come here", and if that doesn't work I run the opposite direction to he'll chase me.

I usually use "Munchkin" or "Little Buddy" and of course the catchall "Renny, Dammit!".

At one time I wanted to have T-shirts made for them both that said "My indian name is Getouttathere!"

Buckley - Mr. Buckles, Buckers (of course when he is being bad, something that sounds similar), Buckminster, Buddy, Pupp-eh, Muppethead, Stinky, Stinkybottomus, DumDum and of course, "Eh-eh-off-leaveit-dropit-gimmethat!!"

Sparky:

Sparky Jones (when he's in trouble), Spark-a-doo, Spark-a-Roo, Sparky Doodle Dandy, Turd Burglar, Stinker, Stink Pot, Little Sh*t.

ours are Napoleon, Napi, napster, chubs donahue, cutie pie, mechudo,( which means messy hair in spanish), chubsy wobsy!!

he does answer to Napi and Napoleon only!!

Kooper:

Scooter- AKA- Goo, GOO-GOO, Goobey, Goober, Boo, Scoot, McGoot

I was just telling someone today that Scooter must think his name is Goo because that is all we call him, my friends all call him Goo too. Even when I am talking about him to someone I refer to him as Goo. He actually comes to Goo but not Scooter, lol.

Tucker is - mostly "Pumpkin" then there is doodlebug, sweetie pie, munchkin, cubby, my little one, and of course - stinky butt (when I call him stinky butt, he thinks its a good thing and gets really playful)

Bailey- Bails, Dog-head, Pokey, Nosey and many others.

Wow, I was talking about this with my husband the other day. I'm kind of late on my response but here are my baby's many names.

Archie ~*~ Pootie, Honeyman, Bunker, Bunky, Arch, Archman, Littleman, Furbutt, Mom's Lil Baby, Darlin, Archibald, Pootie Bayou, Bunker Bayou, Pootie Butt.

Archie likes to swim in the bayou and that is where the bayou's come in. (Don't worry we put up a fence to keep him out of the alligator infested waters)

Pootie is from when he was a puppy and would eat his poop. I told him nobody would want kisses from a 'pootie mouth puppy'. Hence...pootie.

He's great.
