Posted July 21, 200816 yr Hi All. This is our fifth year in the same house in Avon, NC. Had some weirdness on the way down, but today more than made up for it. We drove down to the tip of Hatteras Island and just walked/waded through the surf. It was EXCELLENT. I think my DH got some good digital shots...we'll see. Meanwhile, I look like Frankenstein's monster from falling (literally) flat on my face on a stop on the way down. (Can you believe, the convenience store had no bandaids?) It's going to be a long recovery process. But what better place to recover than here? Again, when we're home and not on dialup, will try to load some shots. Our three were just totally psyched to be running in the surf and chasing sand crabs and sea birds. Stay tuned for more. Your Humble Friend, Tara Wilk Max and Nelly
July 22, 200816 yr So sorry you fell on your first day of vacation! Enjoy the rest of your trip (no pun intended) and be sure to post pictures of all your Cairns having fun at the beach. We were lazy this year and didn't take any pictures during our beach vacation, so I need to see some Cairns having fun in the waves.
July 22, 200816 yr Tara, I used to live near the N. Carolina Coast. I hope you have a relaxing time. From the looks of the weather forcast here it looks like the South Carolina coast is getting some pretty nasty storms. Hope they stay in S. Carolina and don't move to the North Carolina coast where you are. Have a great time! There's nothin' in this world better than puppy breath!!!
July 22, 200816 yr have a great time and watch your step! cant wait to see pics hope they turn out for you..
July 22, 200816 yr Just returned a few weeks ago from Corrola/Duck area and had a blast. Unfortunately, Bruski didn't come this year - 30 people in a 10 bedroom house is just too much action for one puppy, so he had a nice stay at the Four Paws Inn! Hope you have great weather and do post pictures!
July 22, 200816 yr Is this one of those "vacation" things I've heard about? Sounds great! Although you should reserve the falling down for the soft sand. May the beach be restorative for you. Dogs sure do love the beach! CAIRNTALK: Questions? Need help? → Support Forum Please do not use PMs for tech supportCRCTC: Columbia River Cairn Terrier Club
