Dingo Bones

These are dingo bones and they come in different sizes. I buy the tiny weekly ones such as this or they come in a large bag. Scully has gotten one tiny one every morning when DH and I have our morning coffee. Personally, I think it's kept her teeth nice and white and no doggie breath and she's almost 5. I get mine at Petsmart but you can get them almost anywhere.

I was wondering the same thing, but now that you've posted the link, I know what they are and have seen them. As I looked at the description, I see that they're rawhide. Well, that's out for Packy since he doesn't do well with rawhide. Almost every time he's had it, he barfs, and I'm also afraid he'll swallow a piece too big -- he can wolf them down like nothing.

Dingo Bones are made in China. I would strongly advise anyone who is feeding dingo bones to research their safety through the internet, rawhide from China is known to contain arsnic and formaldehyde and are often processed with lye and bleach.

I second that. I'm glad dingo bones aren't what I was afraid they were when I first saw

the original post (you know, bones from deceased dingos?)

Anything that says "made in China" is off my list too.

Oops!

Angus loves Dingos too. I'm going to look at the bag again when I get home. I don't remember seeing that they were made in China! :(

It doesn't always have to me totally made in China. As an example, my vet doesn't want me to order

heartworm meds from 1-800-PetMeds because some of the ingredients in their versions of the

brand names come out of China and/or India. He's OK with Drs. Foster & Smith.

good to know. I remember seeing on Drs. Foster & Smith's website that they only sell rawhides where they have toured the plant, etc. I'll have to check them out again.
