Bedding in their crates?

I'm thinking of getting some new bedding for my crew.

I have these thick fleece pads that are very cushiony and soft but they are getting old and a couple need some mending. I can toss them right in the washer/dryer so I might just buy some new ones but I wanted to see what you all use in your Cairn's crates.

We recently got some memory foam pads for our seniors. It turned out to be cheaper to have them custom made at the local futon place. They actually charged more for the slipcovers than the foam inside.

In the RV we like these crate pads. They are sort of woven on the outside, with some light foam padded material on the inside. Dirt just shakes out, they dry quickly, and the weave provides insulation for both cold and hot days. They do seem to wear out after a couple years, though.

We just use a regular pillow with pillowcases my Mom made that match the crate. I can just throw the pillow and the pillowcases in the washing machine and dryer, and they do fine.

I use a regular kennel pad but I also bought a cheap twin size egg crate matress pad for $10, cut it to the size of the crates and doubled them up, put a pillow case over them and put the pads on top of those. THey are so comfy, my cat runs in there the second the dogs come out and she is in there for the day usually. Works great, I wouldn't want to sit on a hard floor all day or sleep on one so why should my dogs.

During the day my dogs are in the breezeway, so I cut a memory foam pad, covered with an old sheet and I use a larger kennel pad on top of that.

I buy blankets from Walmart. In warmer weather, I line the crate w/ lightweight blankets. Since it's been cold, I put fleece blankets in. Only my Westie and  new lab pup sleep in crates. Kiara and Abbey sleep in a bed together. If there's a thunderstorm, they want their crate. Hannah has a crate, but sleeps w/ us or our dd.

I found a bone shape crate pad at Target in the dollar bins last year. She doesn't really like it. She normally has it pushed in the back. She likes to sleep just on the crate floor. Silly dog.

I use a thick pieces of foam which I covered in removable corduroy covers, and also they have a woolen blanket on top (so they can scratch it around to get comfy).

Tucker has a big bed with bumpers in his crate - I made a pad out of a washable down throw (I have a featherbed so I thought he should have one too) and a pillowcase fits perfect over it so he gets his sheets changed often! Can you tell it is just me? No kids or hubby to take care of, just my sweet baby!
