Darcy's Folks
Hi Friends! Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful day today. I write to you with five inches of fresh snow that has been falling all morning here in Denver. It's a wonderful way to spend Christmas... not so much though when it comes to chasing after 2 wet dogs. LOL! Merry Snowy Christmas! bradl
Merry Christmas to all. A slightly 'wet' Christmas here, but a joyous one, with Cairn noses tracking every snack and goody, poking into every nook and cranny, snuffling under the tree, and generally being underfoot in the best possible way. For those remembering a Cairn and Christmases past today - may your memories bring you warmth and reflection on a lifetime shared. Our dogs, may we deserve them. CAIRNTALK: Questions? mrseggcup
WOOF! Eli, here. Something's going on around here. There's lots of stuff under that silly tree the Alpha B set up in the living room for some reason. I removed some of those ribbon things and tossed them around a bit. That was fun. One of those boxes smelled particularly interesting. Turns out it had COOKIES in it! But did I get any? No. One of those stocking things is like a stuffed animal, but no squeeker. I chomped it for a while anyway. Those uprights sure have a dumb idea of what is fun. All their toys are not actually TOYS! Seems they prefer books and CDs and dumb stuff like that. If they are really that stupid I think we can take over the world quite easily! WOOF! Eli

savannahsmom35
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Savannah spent her Christmas snooping through packages and paper. But the highlight of her day was getting a can of wet food! Yum! (She normally only gets dry food). What a Merry Christmas! We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Acklam Savannah's Dogster Page
jimnconnie
We had a great Christmas! Christmas Eve the 3 kids and their spouses and all the grandkids (6) were here to exchange gifts. The grandkids range from 8 months old to 13 yrs, and Bailey & Sophie were just great with all of them. I was a little worried about the baby, but both dogs were very well-behaved and gentle with him. That was an action packed day with wrapping paper flying all over the living room! Both DW and I were exhausted by the time everyone left and we finished cleaning up. Christmas day was a welcome quiet time for us and our fur-babies. We exchanged gifts in the a.m., spent a lot of time lounging and reading, had a nice dinner and early to bed. It doesn't get any better!! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Liz--That's a beautiful picture of your crew! OzGirl-- That first picture of your 2 looks exactly like Bailey and Sophie! kayharley
I hope everyone on this wonderful forum had a safe, healthy and happy Christmas. Our stockings are now empty, the toys are destroyed and we're now relaxing in front of a fire watching dog movies....least I could do seeing I chose bad toys for the crew. And a Happy New Year to all
toomanypaws
I hope everyone had a very Merry, Cairn Christmas! Our house is a mess w/ toys everywhere. If dog toys aren't enough, we also have cat toys scattered throughout the house. Oh well, clean up will come later. For now we're enjoying our special moments together as family and the Cairns, (among other pets) are loving it. I wish we had snow, but at least it's cold enough to have the fireplace burning. This was taken yesterday while presents were being opened. Abbey immediately destuffed hers, but the others are still guarding theirs from her and playing w/ them. I can't imagine how dull my life would be w/o them. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)

LilyGrace25
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody! We spent Christmas with my sister's family. We had a merry Cairn, Yorkie, Bishon, 8 adults and 4 kids XMAS! Happy to report that everybody got along just fine. Grace opened her presents just like one of the kids...then proceeded to tear them apart! I think just one toy made it home whole! I wish you all the best year ever!
