Why I have my Puddles

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.... I Know this is a cairn site.. But the real reason I have a cairn now is because she is the light that has brought me happiness when I am so sad over my other pup.

Digit is my dog that I have had for 16 years. He was born in my home 3 days after the arrival of my son who I adopted at 5 years old. He was a shaggy cocker mix that was the light of my sons life because when everyone else didnt understand him Digit did. On 6/9/07 i went out of town and my son let Digit out of his kennel.. He was blind and deaf but very very healthy. Son had to go to work and returned him to his kennel. A thunderstorm broke out. and Digit was deathly afraid of thm. Usually when weather got bad we brought him inside but noone was home at the time. Somehow he managed to bust out of his kennel and he had disappeared. We have had several sightings but none leading us to him. About 3 weeks ago we sat and were watching the wizard of Oz. My son commented on how cute Toto was. And i always thought so myself. That night I had a dream that we found Digit and Toto was leading him home. That was when I decided that is exactly what we needed. I brought home Puddles a week and a half ago. And we are simply overjoyed. She is a ball of energy that we needed. She is an excellent digit hunting partner too! We still have hope that Digit will come home to meet his new sister. I know he would love her. He was the Alpha dog at our house. And he helped raise Dozer the Mastiff and Lilly the cat. He has endured me bringing home many many strays over his lifetime and he was the greatest dog on earth. I am thankful that I have puddles and I hope we can somehow bring home Digit.
