Is she a Cairn?

Hi all, new to this Forum.

My husband and I are recent parents of a now 8 mo terrier puppy we have named Jazmyn. We call her Jazzy for short as she is just so...Jazzy! She loves to dance around the house, noodling her way up to you by swinging her butt around and prancing. We have had her since February, and so far she has the house-training thing down pretty well. She's definitely a character and gets along well with our 10 yo yellow Lab. She has certainly noodled her way into our hearts.

We are getting used to our little terrierist, and have been told she looks much like a Cairn. We are trying to learn more about terriers, their personalities, querks, tips, etc.

So what do you think? Cairn-like??

I can't blow your pictures up, but I definitely see terrier in her. She looks to me to have some border terrier in her. Maybe she's a mix of Cairn and Border. Anyways, she sure is cute!

i can't blow them up either, and can only see her face in the first one. border terrier is a really good guess, toomany! she's definitely a terrier, but the floppy ears don't look very cairn-like. her conformation is also more like a border terrier. at eight months she isn't full grown, but she looks a little small for a border terrier, so maybe she is indeed crossed with something small like a cairn.

Hmm, what do you guys use for pictures? I usually use Imageshack... Will post larger pics if I know how. I looked at Border Terrier's last night, similar, for sure. She got weighed at the vet this morning, 21 lbs... So she's grown quite a bit since those pics were taken.

you can just upload the pics directly through the composition panel.

at 21 lbs, she is certainly showing more border terrier than cairn. borders are great dogs! the ones i have known are very cairn-like in personality, though perhaps a bit sweeter and gentler.
