pookiegirl
Hi, Does anyone know where a stripping knife for a left hander can be purchased? Should I purchase a fine knife to do face, ears, chest, tail? Any recommendations would be greatly apprecited. Thanks, Barbara
bradl
I'd just get a medium to start. Pearson will make a left-handed knife no problem. They even have a monthly drawing for a free finishing knife. I have a set of their rosewood specialty knives and they are works of art, but I will tell you honestly, if I'm not going to use my fingers I'll almost always steal Peggy's regular knife - the balance and fit to my hand is just right. On the other hand, you'd be taking advice from a groomer so bad that judges in five states have requested that I never touch another Cairn. Quote CAIRNTALK: Vote! | Questions? Take it from someone who has left divets... and my groomer has forbid me to touch the tails.... kcsdogs
No, sorry I meant they do make left handed stripping knives. It seems like they were all I could find for a while for any reasonable price......I stripped Kipper today and he now has a bald spot on his back!!!!
