Hubby and I just love the show "House".

As we were watching, but what do they show?? A Cairn Terrier reeking havoc!

Try to catch it if you can......the dog was in several scenes and I think they reshow the episode several times a week.

He looked EXACTLY like our Piper. When the Cairn on TV barked, Piper turned his head everytime :)!

Yes we watched it with great delight! What a superb dog actor Hector was too. DH and I were reminded of so many Cairn moments in our lives each time he was in a scene. A couple of nights ago we watched a PBS special on dogs and terriers did not come out in their representation as noble in any way. It was nice to see "Cairness" appreciated for what it is.

We saw it, too! He was so cute when he was limping, just like House.

Someone on another board (Entertainment Weekly) was insisting that Hector is a Westie...but we all know better!

PS- Because Hector was too cute, we ended up giving Alfie lots of belly rubs and hugs after the TV show!

I didn't see it but my husband says it was a westie/cairn mix. He said it looked like a Cairn but was white. I asked really white or wheaten and he said it had a Cairns head and really needed to be groomed. He is learning. I will have to wait and watch next week, hopefully he will be on next week so I can watch

I don't think we are gonna get another look at him.

Sounds like Hector was going back to his "original" Mom.

Edited to add.........NO WAY was that a Westie!

Is there a way for those of us who missed it to see it ? Sounds cute, but not being much of TV watcher I'm a bit clueless.......

I watched the program too and it sure looked like a Cairn to me.

According to The USA Network website, "Family" will be rebroadcasted on May 11th at 11:00PM.

I just watched (Tivo) it! I think it was a very light Cairn that needed to be brushed and stripped......but very cute!!

Finally watched the TiVO. My vote is CAIRN! He did look really light in some shots, but in others you could see that there was a reddish undertone along his back. Westies sometimes have a slightly darker "stripe" but they shouldn't be reddish! I might have driven DH crazy rewinding and pausing on the doggy to try to figure out what he was! One thing is for sure, that poor doggy needed to be groomed! Hope they bring him back sometime - it was fun laughing at his "terrier-ism". All of us know how he got into the pills without opposible thumbs - sheer determination!

Now I will have to watch the show, I went to the House MD website and they actually talk about it. I can't believe I wasn't watching...

They were asking questions about if they could really jump that high and how old they lived etc.

Hey, thanks for the link. I missed the end. That would have had me tearing up! And that sure is one shaggy Cairn!

I don't watch it very often but I think I'll ring the tv station tomorrow and find out when that episode is to be played in Aus. If I worked it out right it will be on around July, but I want to be sure I don't miss it. I watched the clip on the the web and the pup looks just like Susie did when I picked her up 12mths ago.
