The squirrel hunters

Recommended Posts

 I got some fun pictures of the dogs hunting squirrels in the back yard today. It was sooo funny to watch them and how intense they get when the darn thing moves and jumps from tree to tree. They are still out there staring up at the tree in the back corner of our yard............this could be an all day adventure.

Nothing like cornering a squirrel... and they are always so proud even if they can't actually get to it.

Pesky squirrels. They just know there is a layer of glass between them and certain death at our house! At this point, the neighbor cats look way tastier though!!! lol

Forgot to add:

Gotta love the cheap entertainment!!! :D

I let Ellie and Black Lady out early this morning while it was still dark, and no sooner had she gotten out the door than Ellie picked up on a rabbit out in the yard, in the darkest, most unlit part (Black Lady can't see very well anymore, so she didn't see it). Ellie charged down the ramp and into the yard and the chase was on! She gave that rabbit quite a run, until it dove between the gate and the chain-link, and Ellie couldn't follow. When the dogs came back in, Ellie was quite proud of herself, although she thinks she would have preferred to catch the rabbit; I haven't figured out a way to tell her that she probably is better off NOT having caught it! :lol
