Duncan's Mom
Here is Duncan hanging out by the fire. We live in a 200 year old farm house with two pellet stoves, a wood stove insert, and an oil furnace. I never feel really warm when the temperature drops in the single digits. The dogs pick various spots near the stoves to keep warm. They look so content
Janet
Duncan is so sweet How dogs love to feel the warmth of a fire Edited February 25, 2007 by Janet Quote It has often been said if you have a Cairn Terrier in your home for a year you will have one for the rest of your life
Tracy A.
Funny how alike all our Cairn's are... Mett & Bratt in their favorite warm spot Quote Tracy, Brattwrust & Mettwurst a.k.a The Gremlins
4*kowbabies
So cute. Daisy likes to curl up in my legs (aka, the birds nest as the kids call it).
kjwarnold
He's such a cutie! Our first Cairn, Willie, loved to sit right in front of my folks' wood stove. He'd lay there until he was sweating, move a little away for a while, then back he'd go for more sauna time! Packy isn't such a fan of the stove, and usually would rather lay on the couch to be up higher. Quote Jandy and my Cairns, Kirby & Phinney
Duncan's Mom
Thank you. He really is a good little boy. Yesterday he slept for about an hour on his back in front of the stove, leaning against one of the greyhound's beds so that he wouldn't fall over. All 4 legs were up in the air. I din't get a picture - my 4 year old son dropped my digital camera so it only works some of the time.
Scully'sMom
Duncan is absolutely handsome! What a sweetie.
Eliz222
That is such a sweet picture of Duncan! Scout loves the fire (we have one going now) in the fireplace....the hotter, the better. Finch is afraid of the fire. She runs away when the wood "pops"....we call her Chicken Little...which is another whole story!

Barney's Mom
How awesome!! A 200 year old farm house is like my dream home! Can't wait to see Duncan in more nice house photos! We heat our house with a corn burning stove, which puts the heat into the room via a blower. The stove is in our basement family room, which is usually a comfortable 78 degrees. When Barney sleeps on my lap down there, he usually sits up and pants because he is so warm! Our upstairs is a bit chilly, so when Barney and I crash on the couch, I have to pull the quilt over us. It's very cozy! I am so glad Barney likes to cuddle! It helps make up for his naughty qualities! Quote All creatures great and small, the Lord God, He made them all!
