Mollyrocker
it was a but-tucking good time(but tucking is a term for running around like crazy) despite the cold and the bitter wind. It was kinda freaky this morning being all alone in the woods. The trees were cracking louds snaps from the cold and the girls kept stopping and gazing into the woods...we were being watched by the critters I am sure. The field that we have to cross to get into the logging path was really beautiful this morning. The wind was creating little mini snow tornadeos and the sun was reflecting off the little airborne snowflakes. we were more sheltered from the wind in the woods, thank goodness. Came back home for hot coffee and eggs..I shared my eggs with my buddies..nice way to start the day. we hike in the woods everyday.
toomanypaws
Those are fantastic pictures! I especially love the first one w/ your Lab in the background. You are very fortunate (at least to me) to live in a place that I can only dream of. I would love to have a 2nd home in the mountains or woods somewhere that gets snow. I'd be hiking every morning just like you. Thanks for sharing. Now, I'm going to look at the pictures again and call my dd in to see them. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
mrskti
dori would be a distant spot in the woods if I let her go in our woods......She'd see a squirrel and that would be it! Gone With the Wind!!!! Sure looks fun though. Terry, mom of Dori and Ellie Mae
kjwarnold
Great pics and you're lucky you can have such fun romps in the woods with your pals. I'm not quite as trusting that Packy would stay with me... We do get to take leashed walks in the woods when we visit my folks and he loves it. Around home, we can walk on the roads which are lined by trees, so while it's not quite the same, at least it's not the city. Barney's Mom
I'm so jealous! What a beautiful way to begin the morning!! It is so cold here I can't even make it around the block without my nose feeling frostbit, my fingers completely numb in my gloves, and Barney practically limping because his feet are freezing..... I am soooooooo ready for spring!! I love getting up early and walking, listening to the birds and the sun is so nice and warm! This daily deep freeze we have been having is keeping us from walking our daily walks, and is really becoming opressive.... All creatures great and small, the Lord God, He made them all! Having lived in Florida for 11 years and now living in Vermont, there are pros and cons to both places. February has been a cold month so far....brrrr. I would like to live somewhere in between where there is a change of seasons yet the winter isn't so long. Carry Me Back TO Ol' Virginy.........
