goforette
I know I've heard that Cairns can change colors periodically throughout their lives - but my little Brystal is developing white on the tip of her ear.... well it kind of looks silver maybe - but it's just at the very tip. If I were to trim it, it probably wouldn't be as noticable - but I have no idea why she's changing colors - her ears and mask are black while her body is brindle and so I'm not sure if I should be concerned with the color change? And Hollie has black that has grown in under one eye - Brystal pulled out a clump of hair out while playing and now Hollie's hair is growing back black in those spots.... I guess I should be happy the hair is growing back regardless of the color... HA! Teri9672
their hair is sure a funny thing. After Tabitha surgery I thought her hair would never grow back in normal. Her entire back end was shaved for surgery. Poorthing has a nice bald spot above the tail for a long time. When the hair finally decided to come back in it was very red in color. She had a twotone stripe. Finally we got her groomed and she is back to only one blonde shade.
GirlieJr
Jack has some silver hairs in his mask that he hasn't always had. He's only 5, but I assumed they were "grey hair" starting to come in! I'd like to know if other people have any silver haired dogs! Quote Jack's Mom

That's good to know - Brystal is 10 months now - so I know it's not age coloring.... but it like sprouted overnight - Quote Hollie Edelbrock & Brystal Sonoma Chris, Stacy and Little Noah
