....took a pair of scissors made one clip and bluuuuuuy, here comes a blob of dog crap!!! Lucky me! That would have been a great time to have those rubber gloves, or any kind of gloves on!!!!

For that you needed a HAZ-MAT suit! :toxic::oops:

Hollie occassionaly gets a dingleberry... but she runs straight for me and sticks her tail out so I know what's wrong. Luckily her's have never been bad and come off easy with a napkin or a puppy wipe.....

I trim around the anus with a blunt tipped scissor and use thinning scissors to keep the hair short in the surrounding area. Keeps the incidents of danglers down -_-

I could not let this one go by without expressing my sympathies to Cricket and You! In the not too recent past Abe and I had one of those incidents! He has a very sensitive stomache, and when something like this happens he gets soooo upset, and wants me to hold him, egads, you can just imagine! So, James sent me this story right away, and says....look, we are not alone! All I can say is maybe we all need to invest in gloves, and clothespins??!! and not get lazy on our grooming habits!

who knew when I posted this that it would garner so much interest in poopy butts. I guess we all can relate. :P I actually hesitated to post it because I thought it might be offensive.

I trimmed her rear end so the likelihood of this happening again is slim.

Fear not. I feel sorry for anyone in a restaurant sitting near a table full of dog people. Poop seems a perennial topic. And difficult births. And disgusting behavior. And ... so on.

  • 2 weeks later...

Laughing so hard ! I've only had to pluck a few things off Tobys rear, with gloves on.....Anyway, here's a trick for the smell during some of these operations. Keep a small jar of "Vicks Vapo Rub" in your bathroom........smear a dab under your nose before the smelly jobs and the blocks out odors. This hint is one from my daughter who works in a more or less adult daycare situation.
