They really are cute. One thing about recently picking out my Westie pup, color wasn't a factor. I am a bit partial to dark, but my wheaten, Abbey is the most photogenic of the three.

Oh my go for the dark but! I do have now Kramer as you can see his photos by my signiture and he is beautiful and so loveable. I do think personality is a better choice than color but I am partial to dark as my first Cairn Missy was all black and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

the light ones are more photogenic, but the face on those dark ones are killer. Dori has so much expression in her little dark face. oh heck, take them all!!!!

Those puppies are adorable. I'm not sure I have ever seen little tiny cairns. I love the way the light one's ears stick out to the side of her head. Good Luck with your choice.

I would have a hard time choosing too! I wouldn't go by color either...Scout was ALL black when she was a puppy and I think she is either going to be a red brindle or a wheaten pretty soon!
