And here is the latest rogue to add to the gallery-- Spike, also known as The Blue Brat.  Not a purebred, by any means-- call him Cairn X, he's a bit smaller, at 13 pounds, legs are too long, and his ears have a flop at the top... 

But based on what I've read here, he's More Cairn Than Not, or More Cairn Than Anything Else, so I hope he is welcome in such esteemed company.  He certainly has the Cairn temperament... which you can read all about in Behavior and Health!  

Here we are playing football for the first time.  I am the perpetual quarterback, Bartleby the Bichon (also X, far from a purebred) is perpetual tackle, and Spike is the perpetual receiver, though he does sometimes throw the ball-- forward lateral, straight in the air, or to me.  Good thing I don't know much about football, because the rules change every game.

A lot of cairn there for sure. Just look at those intelligent eyes and that alert posture not to mention the cairny type coat. Love the shot of Spike and Bartleby on the chair.
