Autumn days, garden cleanup beginning in this part of the world, both pups enjoying cooler days, keeping me company.🐾🐾💕

Trying to photograph our Cairns against the drought stricken dog yard is pretty discouraging. The grass is usually scruffy at best, but at least it’s green. This year, with the desperate water shortage in our area, we couldn’t justify watering. Dirt and dead grass make for a very dreary photo background. 😕

Calypso I feel your pain..drought here also and I decided that I was not going to waste water, and the grass although patchy is slowly making a come back, with two dogs that peed on the yard through last winter with not a lot of snow happening .I love my dogs way more than silly grass.🥰

One consoling thought is that we plan to redo the whole thing, so the dog yard will get moved and expanded and the present dust bowl will be pavers or something. I’d like to think it will happen soon, and the new fencing is here and taking up a lot of our parking. Unfortunately, things happen very slowly in this DIY household.

Blues begone. Elroy has his eyes on you.

In truth, he is just waiting his turn to fail an earthdog test. He doesn't know he failed, though, nor do we care. A good time was had by all.
