Sam I Am
Well not exactly my heart but my Scotty Rosie’s heart. A simple dental pre check turned into a scary diagnosis. ECG and ultra sound turned up arrhythmia....a heart that doesn’t beat on time like it should. No outward signs at all but there it is. More tests to see what we are up against. All I can say is yeah for pet insurance.! So unexpected but I will do what is best for my sweet girl. 2 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of  one's soul remains unawakened.  - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
Kathryn
Hi Lynn - think you posted this in non-cairn pals, which makes sense since Rosie is a scottie. I was lucky to find it though. These dogs are so tough! I had a dog with heart problems (a little mixed breed), and he went on heart meds and did just fine for so so many years. He almost gave me heart attaks a couple times, though, as he was an expert escape artist. Twice he got out of the fence and I spent a day or two looking for him in absolute terror. Never affected his health, though. He had daily pills and a special diet (that might have been what bothered him most) and he was fine. I will hope the same for Rosie. That photo is adorable, by the way.
Sam I Am
Thanks for the encouraging words Katheryn...it makes me feel better. She will be seeing a cardiologist and from there we will learn more.  Love these darn little fur balls to the max. pkcrossley
I haven't had to deal with heart disease but I have several friends who have (with cavaliers, in both cases). diagnosis is usually a guide to choosing how best to maintain. hoping you get good and useful info for our Rosie.
