Kira our Cairn

Just wanted to say ‘hello’. Kira if just a bit short of 8mo. Not our first dog; not our first terrier; definitely our first Cairn. We’re condo people in a fairly urban, doggy neighborhood. The Kir-bear is the easiest puppy we’ve ever had. And... she is darn fun. I’ve been training for... a long time. Our last pup, a GSD, was a therapy dog. I’m working Kira through the obedience work, and, if she enjoys the work (she’s a people- and dog-friendly pup at this point), I plan to get her therapy dog registered ;-) Ultimately, it’s her choice.

Cute pup... Kira is my first Cairn, but have been training... quite a while. Got our previous terrier her CD & CGC. Obviously, these pups are smart and trainable with right motivation (and patience with a gentle hand)

You look ready to train any human to your standard - or do I have this the wrong way round? Just kidding. I had terriers too before I had a cairn terrier

it took Angus and me a l-o-n-g time but we did become good partners.
