Sam I Am
I have decided that there are a lot of dog owners that just don’t clue into other dogs body  language. While out walking Sam today a fellow was coming down the path with a large mostly out of control golden retriever, who was straining on the leash and jumping up and down like a rubber ball. Sam is socialized but one thing that does trigger this Cairns aggression is a large dog that does not have any manners and doesn’t get another’s dogs space. And then there is the owner...being pulled along and insisting that their dog is friendly and trying to let this out of control retriever meet Sam up close..mean while Sam is now growling and getting ready to protect himself and me. At this point Sam and I went into the bushes as there was no where else to go....the owner mumbling about people not properly socializing their dogs...gggggrrrr says me and Sam. 1 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of  one's soul remains unawakened.  - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie

Tuesday
Jim Morrison said it best.... Murphy is unsocialized, grumpy and barky. When we are outside and see other people with dogs heading our way, we go inside.
GloJZ
My husband and I have met the same dog owner on several of our walks with our now 8-month old Louie! Haha! We sit in the park every day to expose him to the sights and sounds of people, bicycles, strollers, etc. But there always seems to be that one person walking with their dog on a long retractable leash heading right towards us! Of course, Louie reacts by barking and growling and we get that look from the other dog owner that says, "that's what happens when you don't socialize your dog!" I'm sure that I return a look that says, "that's what happens when you don't have good manners!"
