Hand Stripping groomer in Sacramento

If you're willing to drive to Pleasanton for the Cairn Terrier Club of Northern California's specialty show October 18 & 19 (Alameda Fairgrounds) you can meet a large number of Cairn exhibitors who may have recommendations. More details here: https://ctcnc.net/specialty.html. Download the premium list for even more details about the show.

I recommend dog shows to find groomers because sometimes breeder exhibitors who have the skills will do some grooming "on the side" to offset expenses. Exhibitors of any of the double-coated terrier breeds (up to and including Airedales :)will  have the skills and be familiar with the basics. Show people tend to respect the aesthetics of other breeds so a breeder is fairly likely to stay as close as their skills permit to the characteristic shape of a Cairn.

You can also contact the Carin Terrier Club of The Northern California  ctcnc.net. They hold their meetings in Fairfield. Look at their Calendar for info. This is a very welcoming club. Although we aren't members, we went to a meeting and enjoyed meeting the members and their Cairns.

Our Katie is from one of the members who also offered to groom her. Too far for us to travel for grooming. We are fortunate to have a local groomer who used to show Cairns and she is only 45 minutes away.

Cheers!
