Leba iii for dental health?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried Leba iii for dental health? My vet mentioned it to me as a good way to get rid of tartar build up and potentially delay dental cleanings, but it seems like kind of an "out there" product. Curious whether other forum members have experience—or can recommend a good food for dental health.

Some of the local Cairn folk were using a similar spray (if not that one exactly) a few years back but I'm not sure if any kept with it long term. I just resigned myself to periodic cleanings. It feels to me like their may be some genetic component to plaque development. Some of our Cairns have seemed more prone while others seemed more resistant.

Info on Leba III here...

Available on Amazon but it ain't cheap...

Says it contains 25% ethyl alcohol. Not sure how I feel about that. Checking the Amazon link brings up a number of other similar products. If brushing your pup's teeth is an impossible task (like it is with mine) a spray might be a welcome addition to the arsenal, provided it gets results.

As far as I can tell, these products might not necessarily remove the plaque, but soften it, making it easier for brushing to remove it.
