Sassy zooming and airborne at 14 1/2 years

Sassy is still in good shape for 14 1/2 years old, although she is sleeping more these days.

With that in mind she has over the last couple evenings been doing zoomies during our before bed walk. Last night was so funny I almost fell to the ground laughing. Wish I had video for you all to see.

So she waters the grass takes a quick look at me and takes off down the sidewalk. Before she reaches the end of the 26 foot retractable leash she takes a right across the street heading for the other side. This time she reaches the end of the leash, no problem, changes direction in a circle and heads back to the original side. Then she leaps to jump the curb, all four legs in superman mode. One problem, she is about 4 feet short of the curb and lands full on her belly. But she shakes it off and keeps heading for the curb, this time making the leap correctly. She can be so funny and cute when she wants to be.

God bless her!  I can picture her doing the Cairn belly flop - Buffy did it and Nattie does too.  She's doing fantastic for 14 1/2.  Glad the two of you are enjoying retirement together!
