Seeking hand stripper near Knoxville, TN

Recommended Posts

I have a young former show dog with a beautiful rough coat I’d like to properly maintain, but I’m a totally failure at hand stripping! Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who knows how to properly groom a cairn in or near Knoxville, TN? Thanks!

What a cutie! That looks like a coat worth keeping

Sorry I don't know anyone close. Perhaps try calling (or emailing) the national club members listed in TN? The ones listed all seem to be 4-6 hours away but they may have ideas or know other terrier folk who  live closer and who might groom on the side.

Likewise, if there are any dog shows in your area during the year, try attending and visiting with any/all of the double-coated terrier exhibitors. Usually someone knows someone.

If you don't connect, don't give up. You can do it :)

Thanks very much! I actually got my boy from Cathy Burleson, and I might just do a weekend in Jackson every once in a while if she is willing!
