Kathryn
How Angus and Oban often spend their early evenings, after a session of enthusiastic play, dinner, and a trip outside: sitting in mom's lap, watching dad prepare dinner on the kitchen countertop. Oban believes, of course, it will result in bits of yummy food. Angus has not figured that out. Neither actually gets any yummy food at this point, as the general rule is they only get to lick plates (if nothing is banned, such as onions). But they hope. And then they get tired, and nod off...

Idaho Cairns
Oh how I miss those wonderful moments of mature Cairn "mentoring" of a new pup. Our Sammi was so patient with Bonnie during those times, sharing every facet of her life with Bonnie, teaching her "the ropes" and just generally seeming to enjoy the experience. That transfer of knowledge from a mature, well mannered older Cairn to a puppy is just invaluable for the owner--best "training" in the world in my opinion.

Dianne
On their annual vacation to sunny Pacific Grove, CA where it rained for days on end, Kathryn, Stephen , Angus and Oban had us over for a lovely dinner and romp with the pups. A sunny day at last and the pups were full of devilment. We were able to catch them and hold them for a group shot. Angus is almost the size of Oban and Katie. And what a dynamo of energy and affection. Never a cuter face! 20 month old Katie had to take a few time out rests in order to keep up with her new best friends. Left to right: Katie - Angus - Oban. 6
Sam I Am
Love love these pics! Oban, is that just a toothie grin or is Angus looking at you all wrong...nothing worse than a baby brother that looks at you wrong. Katie is Unfazed as most girls are. 1 Quote Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie

Kathryn
Sam I Am - that is definitely a shot of Angus getting into Oban's space, Oban providing a correction -- and Angus' look of "uh oh..." Generally they get along very well, and Oban provides small corrections whenever Angus oversteps. Zoomies and after-dinner frolics are quite delightful. All three dogs got along quite well. Katie is a charming cairn with a lovely little cairn head and face, as you can see from the photos. And -- typical girl -- she had the boy dogs obeying her every whim... And the day after we got everyone together (we did it several times), all dogs were quite quiet and slept most of the day. Family motto: A tired cairn is a happy cairn...
