Spring is springing

[Sam I Am]

At last our four foot show banks are starting to melt. The sun is shining in a lovely Alberta blue sky. I am afraid to see when it all melts what condition my garden and lawn are in.😱Plus hopefully my rose bushes haven’t been pruned to much by Sam who seems to relish chewing on the canes. What can be tasty or attractive chewing on rose canes that have sharp barbs....only a young Cairn could answer that one.Between eating the sunflower seeds that have dropped from the bird feeders to the mushy crabapples that are starting to litter the ground, Sam is certainly an omnivore. 

Sam is enjoying the warm sun in his favourite place.

My two are itching to spend more time outside.  With today's (continuing) wind gusts and freezing temps, they came right inside shortly after going outside.  Brrrrrr.

Once again PDX seemed to have no winter. Rain of course; that's a given  Two days ago it was sunny and I actually saw a butterfly! I tried to take a photo but I had a pooper scooper in my hands and by the time I managed to get my phone out it had flitted away. Back to rain the next day, and yesterday, and today, etc.
