Holistic Alternative to Fleas?

Recommended Posts

We applied Advantage II flea treatment last Wednesday night as the puppy was covered in fleas. The breeder stated that she had also applied this the month prior. After only a week, Trina Joy is scratching again! Our last Cairn was obtained in the winter. We have experienced a patchy frost but no hard frost here, yet. The days are pleasant and she has rolled in the grass and played. I don't want to apply another flea treatment because it is not safe. I don't know what to do but I am sure that she has some fleas again. :( We have always used Frontline for our pups with great success; I only used Advantage because the breeder used it on her and didn't want to switch.

My suggestion is to go to a veterinary clinic you feel the most comfortable with, be it a mixed holistic/traditional one(always my personal choice) or a more traditional clinic and go with their advice.

Switched to bravecto for Angus - no more flea problem. However agree with above - consult your vet.

How well anything works often depends on the climate where you live, and your lifestyle. There's not always one treatment for all.
