Puppy Bites are NOT Love Bites! Help!

Toto-lee Cairn, that is a great idea that your vet divides up the shots. Makes sense to not overwhelm the puppy's immune system. My little girl is going in October for her first "big girl" shots. I'm still debating on Lepto but think it is a good idea because she recently got Giardia from her eating and drinking in the yard. She is a "garbage can" girl despite our best efforts.

I thought it was smart, too.  This young vet went to some prestigious schools, and I was really struck by her knowledge of terriers, and how very personable she was.  There are four great vets in the group, and I think she's wonderful -- they're all good, but they were certainly lucky to get her.

A dog gets Giardia?  Wow, I never knew that.  I had to be treated, myself, years ago.  The DR suspected salad makings.

The vet shared they are seeing lots of dogs with intestinal issues -- the dogs have been drinking water dumped on us by Hurricane Florence.  I know when we went through Floyd, years ago, we had to get up-dated tetanus shots, even though they had not expired.  We were told, 'better safe than sorry.'

Toto-lee Cairn, yes! I am going to prompt my "older" vet about the vaccines this time around, including lepto.

Yes, Giardia? It seemed weird to me. All I know is that it is a pain. We have to give her meds for 5 days and test her again before she can return to her beloved friends at doggie daycare! :(    Of course, my little Trina Joy has no idea what she did wrong!
