Been a while since posting an update. We've been in our RV for a little over 2 weeks, while working on Titan and Daisy getting along. Their relationship is much, much better. As it turns out, we should have named Daisy, Ramona the Pest. She jumps Titan at every opportunity trying to get him to play with her. He's getting better but she's such a pesterer!

I think our worries about Titan and Daisy getting along have been put to rest. The ultimate test is seen in the photo: Titan sharing a bowl with Daisy! They have become good buddies. She keeps him moving all the time, which is good for him. They are such a joy to watch as they tussle around with each other during the day. We just got back home after a month of traveling with them in our RV. They did so well together on the road, as opposed to our fear of them being cooped up in the RV, having not made peace before leaving home. It was during this time traveling that things changed in their relationship. What a relief! For those predicting this kind of outcome: Good call; you guys were right. 👍

Oh dear, she is one very cute little cairn.  Love all her pictures and am very glad to read that her and Titan are finally getting along.  Good to know this as I'm thinking of adding a male cairn to our family sometime in the not too distant future.

Daisy is approaching 8 months now. Issues we're still working on:  1) housebreaking- looks like this one is going to take a while; 2) she has destroyed quite a bit of low lying targets in the house. Hope she gets out of this stage soon; 3) she loves to get a shoe or sock and take off under the bed to hide it; 4) poop eating. Lordy, lordy. Looking for a solution there.

The good stuff: 1) she and Titan are getting along fine ; 2) she is really quite sweet; 3) good bed snuggler; 4) likes to nap in my lap; 5) quite healthy.

Hope some of the problems get worked out in the next few months. Regardless, she's a delight.

Good to hear that Daisy and Titan are getting along; the snuggling is definitely a bonus!

The poop eating was a problem for Buffy too.  For some unknown reason she seemed to do it more in the winter than in the summer.  There was nothing we could do about it on walks - she'd sniff and find a "treat" and snarf it down before we had a chance to stop her.  Other than that, we did a daily inspection of the yard to make sure there was nothing left lying around.

Things sound good for Daisy. A cairn who is a healthy sweet snuggler ..........what more could one want........

Poop eating seems not to have any easy cure . So pick up immediately it appears and keep an eye out elsewhere.

Re the rest I learned through bitter experience to pick up and tidy up and put away all moveable items. Otherwise away they went in somone's mouth. My house was the neatest and tidiest ever when a pup was growing up!!

Meet Riley, our new 12 week old trouble maker :)

Update on Riley, now 6 months old.   He is doing really well,  no accidents in the house for a month now.   When we go out and have to leave him at home we put him in a pen.  Longest 11 hours and without doing anything.   He was in a real hurry to get outside to do all his business though.

He likes to run away with socks.  Favorite game is to fetch his ball over and over again.

Been a few months and wanted to give a little update on Daisy. She's pretty well gotten the housebreaking down pat, PTL. She and Titan are good buddies now and have had no skirmishes for a long time. Current area we're working on is her gnawing on furniture. Wallpaper is also a target of opportunity for her. Never had a Cairn with such a love of gnawing on things. Will she grow out of it? Time will tell. In the mean time we don't leave her unattended.
