Connemara ponies

Kathryn

Recommended Posts

Stopped in Roundstone, Ireland, last night - in Connemara County - and learned the annual Connemara Pony Show was there today. Also advertised sheep and dog judging. So, in the middle of pouring rain, we went. The dog portion wasn't until the late afternoon, and they were going to lump together all terriers - Glen of imaal, wheaten, cairn, etc. So we missed it. But we saw some lovely horses so, for those who love them like I do, I will try to post some eye candy.

As a lover of horses and owning them all my life, I would give my eye teeth to visit Ireland! What a lovely pony?

Seems like you have had a couple of trips to Ireland?  Fun.  Where our little Oban staying while you're running around the world?  :)

Beautiful horse.

Lovely horse and very pretty color. I, too, would like to visit Ireland some day, especially from where my paternal great-grandparents hail.
