Spring walk in northern PA

Recommended Posts

The coolest April and start of May in a long time here. Finally, more Spring like on our walk. See my carer Angus check everything OK with me and then we go on our way, through fields of dandelions, wild violets and the flowers of wild strawberries.

I stripped out a lot of winter coat and he is much paler in color than usual - or maybe he's changing color as so often happens.

Who is Angus off to see? The first pic of him on the path, surrounded by yellow dandelions, looks like northern PA's version of the yellow brick road!?

Sanford: folks round here are out to call in gobblers.  But we didn't see any courting turkeys today. We saw a flash of white tail as a doe fled away. She must have had a fawn nearby. Angus's legs are a bit too short to catch her! He doesn't even to do more than a token chase nowadays.
