Popular Post Pepper Bug's Mom
OK - I have some pictures of the new addition to the family - Teddy Bear, a yellow Labrador Retriever from Chase 'n Me Labs here in Washington State. Pepper was the same size when we picked up Teddy in August, but Teddy has tripled in size and is now 6 months old. He is a very good puppy and really wants to please!!! Ha Ha! He has not a clue what a rat or a squirrel is and can't figure out what all the excitement is about when Pepper goes ballistic!!! I have two dogs with totally different personalities.... 13 Quote Pepper's Mom

Autumn & Lola
They are truly adorable together. It must be fun having two dogs with completely different personalities. They must balance each other out. Need I ask who the alpha is?
hheldorfer
The Christmas pic is ultra-mega-adorable! I can see which one is in charge, though: Pepper, hands down.
Pepper Bug's Mom
Pepper is the one in charge - I have to watch it though when they are playing because she doesn't realize how much more Teddy outweighs her! She gets to sit on the couch and torments Teddy with little squeaks and squeals to get him to engage with her. Quote Pepper's Mom
tlwtheq
That's what I would have thought...that the Cairn Terrier would be in charge. (Ours always are when we pet-sit the 100 pound Akita...very sweet fellow by the way.) After all, this is the Cairn Talk network! Best place I know for asking questions and giving answers. 1 Quote Max and Nelly
LindaMC
My two favorite breeds and they are absolutely adorable together. Maisie missed out on meeting my Lab Cocoa, I would have loved seeing how they would have gotten along. Cocoa was so gentle and such a goofy love bug. I miss him so much still, they're never here long enough. Have fun making lots of wonderful memories with Pepper and Teddy, you'll never have a dull moment.

_whits_
OH MY GOODNESS PUPPY! Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your Teddy Bear with us! Congrats on the addition to the family. Can't wait to see what trouble these two get in . . . or should I say what trouble Pepper gets in that she blames on Teddy. Addie's puppy training classes were just her and a Lab; when they started she was 6 pounds and he was 35, and she had him pinned to the floor in submission every single week until graduation day. And Addie's trainer used to say, "Addie sure does not live to please people." It must be nice having a pup in the house who does what you ask without questions because he wants to make you happy, hah. How was Pepper's adjustment to having Teddy in the house? 1 Quote "as far as i am concerned cairns are the original spirit from which all terriers spring, and all terriers are cairns very deep down inside." pkcrossley

Pepper Bug's Mom
When we first brought Teddy home and put him in the crate at night....for 5 nights straight he howled and howled and howled. I am sure Pepper was just THRILLED with that! I ended up buying construction earplugs so I could sleep sort of....Feeding him was horrible too...he GULPED his food down! Pepper just looked on with disdain! We ended up buying those bowls that don't let the dogs choke down their meals....Teddy still tries to gulp it down but the bowl helps a bit. Teddy now does "kennel up" when given the command (of course Pepper does it perfectly). He is easier to walk on a lead then Pepper (Pepper is a major puller), but he slows Pepper down. He is now 46 pounds to Pepper's 15.5 pounds. Edited January 28, 2016 by Pepper Bug's Mom 1 Quote Pepper's Mom
