I have a picture I want to post of Brodee, RIP, in three sizes.  16.0 kb, 268 kb, and 1.81 mb.  I understand this site will not take the 1.81 size, but should it take the other two?  thanks, ron

So sorry about Brodee :(  Yes unless you have already used up all of your attachment allocation you should be able to insert any of them, really. Without knowing the pixel sizes I would guess from the file size that the 268kb one is probably a nice reasonable size.

What happens if you drag the file onto the gray area of the edit box where it says "Drag file here to attach"?   If it accepts it without an error message and you can see a thumbnail of the image at the bottom of the editor, click the little "+" sign on the thumbnail image and it will embed the image into the post wherever the cursor is.

If that's not what happens we'll sort it out step by step.

Edit: the current limit for a per-post upload appears to be 500k.  I just increased it to 1.5Mb.
