Summer's End

Hillscreek

Recommended Posts

Beautiful photos, Hillscreek. I wish I had taken some in Mt. Doug Park this morning as I had the same end of summer feeling...dappled sunlight, rain freshened air, spiders and squirrels (those demons!) working away...a blissful hour off leash for Gus who was perfectly behaved. So important to cherish these special moments.

Love the photos.  DH posted some photos on Facebook earlier today that addressed how we feel about western

Maryland and Dolly Sods in West Virginia.  I'll try to transfer them here.  Both very peaceful places.

Lovely pics. Fall is coming fast here also. Tonight frost warnings so will be out covering my tomatoes.

Fortunately, we are still in full summer and if the weather is normal, we will have a warm and wonderful September.  October is probably the most lovely month in these climes--warm days and cold nights with lots of color, empty golf courses (one of the best things) but after mid-month it is touch and go.  Frankly, as hot as this summer has been, I'm ready for the cooler weather and I am sure the girls are as well.  Enjoyed the pictures--nice to see mountains with trees on them.
